Bonnie Orden’s clients benefit from her nearly thirty years of experience and knowledge garnered from hundreds of prior clients and cases. Ms. Orden has counseled on matters involving people from all walks of life and all types of social, cultural and financial backgrounds.In particular, Ms. Orden has a special ability to guide investigations, as a Former Special Prosecutor for Westchester County, a former Associate Commmissioner in the NYC Department of Corrections, and as the Deputy Inspector for the NYS Department of Investigations. Ms. Orden also has been recognized for her superb trial abilities and served for a number of years as an Adjunct Professor of Law At  the Benjamin Carodozo School of Law, teaching trial techniques.

Ms. Orden and was trained in the high volume, urban courts of New York. She has tried cases with very poor prospects of success and obtained a verdict in her favor in seventy five jury trials without a loss.

Bonnie Orden is a graduate of the Hofstra Law School. Admitted to practice in New York in 1983, the majority of her legal career has focused in criminal and educational settings.


Bonnie Orden has been actively litigating and investigating matters of significance since 1981 in an enormously varied set of legal matters in civil and criminal proceedings. Ms. Orden has tried 75 criminal cases to verdict without a loss. As a trial expert, Ms. Orden has taught, lectured and given demonstrations of trial techniques to lawyers and students for over twenty years and taught Criminal and Civil Trial Techniques an Adjunct Law Professor at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Along with her experience as a senior trial prosecutor in the Homicide Bureau and Sex Crimes and Special Victim’s Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, she has conducted sophisticated investigations as the Deputy Inspector General of the NYC Department of Investigations. Ms. Orden also served as the 3rd ranking member of the New York City Department of Corrections leading all of that department's investigations, as Associate Commissioner. Ms. Orden's trial and investigations experiences are as varied as they are complex. Ms. Orden was called upon twice to serve as a Special Prosecutor in Westchester County in cases dealing with municipal corruption. 

Ms. Orden began her career as an attorney at Kings County District Attorney’s Office where she successfully prosecuted hundreds of adults in the Sex and Homicide bureaus.

Seminars and Speaking Engagements

Ms. Orden was, for many years an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law teaching trial advocay, and since 1985 an instructor and guest lecturer there teaching trial advocacy as well as presenting a nationwide audience of lawyers with demonstrations in trial techniques.

Ms. Orden is admitted to practice in New York; the Federal District Courts of the Southern, Eastern, Western, Northern Districts of New York; the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association
